Bishop Huonder of Chur to Keep Contact With SSPX for The Vatican as He Retires

Acceptance of the age-related resignation of the 77-year-old Swiss bishop is expected shortly - Diocese Chur recently confirmed that Huonder is keeping contact with the Society for the Vatican

Edit: he’s been one of the most Catholic Bishops in Europe, who has remained astonishly in his post till past retirement in a hostile diocese run by professional Catholics in a hostile Church that destroys its best disciples and exults evil ones.

Vatican City (kath.net/KAP) Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur was received on Monday by Pope Francis in private audience. Details of the conversation were not announced by the Vatican and the Swiss diocese. Vitus Huonder (76) has been Bishop of Chur since 2007; In April 2017, the Pope had extended his term by two years. As the acceptance of his resignation is expected shortly, on April 21 Huonder will complete his 77th year of life.

As the diocese confirmed at the end of January, Huonder wants to retire to Wangs in the canton of Sankt Gallen. There he will keep contact with the Society for the Vatican. The "Society of Saint Pius X" runs a school in Wangs, the "Institut Sancta Maria".

In January, Pope Francis dissolved the Vatican Commission "Ecclesia Dei" responsible for the dialogue with the Society of Saint Pius X and integrated its task into the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. In the dispute with the Society, there were only differences in Church doctrine, and for this, only the Congregation itself was responsible, it was said in the Pope’s decree.

Before the Bishops' Synod: Bishop Huonder on the Truth and Majority

Bishop Vitus Huonder
(Chur) On June 21, 2015, Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur said in his sermon: "majorities are not necessarily decisive for the knowledge of the truth and above all for the way of righteousness, on the contrary ...
Very often it is good and right to belong to the minority, yes, to an insignificant minority! Take the words of St. Thomas More speaking to our life in the speech he uttered before his execution, and by which we are guided always afterwards: 'I die a faithful servant of the king, but first I am servant of God'.
Let us pray that the Synod Fathers will be led by this spirit and  remain conscious in the face of pressure from certain lobbies and ideologies, that they are above all, God's servants. Let us pray to Saint Thomas More and the saints, who shared the same fate that they stand as intercessors at the Synod. Amen. "

Anarcho-Leftists Damage Famous Karlskirche in Vienna

(Vienna) Attacks and vandalism against churches have been mounting in Austria are piling up for several years. On Saturday night, the famous Karlskirche was show with paint pellets and daubed with slogans by left-wing extremists in Vienna. "Police said the damage was enormous," as the ORF reported. The perpetrators damaged several statues with their paint on the outside walls of the church. Anarchist symbols and a dripping font "from repression follows resistance" point to the extreme left-wing "autonomous" way. It is assumed that there are multiple perpetrators. The official line is that there is "currently" no evidence of the perpetrators. However, the left-wing extremist scene in Vienna is very well known to the police.

Arson Attack Against Mary Our Lady Church in Bregenz

Arson against Mariahilf heroes thanks church Bregenz

In Bregenz on Lake Constance unidentified perpetrators engaged on Saturday night in an arson attack on the Mariahilf Church. At about 1:20 AM, a 52-year-old woman discovered the fire. With the help of a a 62-year-old man, she tried to extinguish the fire. She had to be treated for suspected smoke inhalation in the State Hospital. The perpetrators had doused the church door with chemicals and set it on fire.

A canister was secured near the church door. The police are asking the community for evidence in both cases.

In March, several churches of Vienna had been damaged. A 37 year old man was detained and confessed to six acts he is alleged to have done on a "divine mission". The police suspect a single perpetrator in this case. The situation is different in the attack on the Karlskirche, which carries clear political handwriting and reveals hate for the Church.

The Karlskirche (St. Charles Church) was build by Emperor Charles VI. who took a vow during the last plague back in 1713. Its patron is Saint Charles Borromeo. The church was built from 1716-1739 by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach and completed after his death by his son Joseph Emanuel Fischer von Erlach. The church was under Imperial patronage until 1918. The church has been looked after since its construction by the Order the Cross with the Red Star from Prague. (A Lay association founded by St. Agnes of Bohemia) On November 4, 2013 Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur celebrated a Pontifical High Mass in the Karlskirche in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.

The Mary Our Lady Church in Bregenz is the parish church of the Vorkloster-Rieden district. It was built in 1925-1931 according to the plans of the architect Clemens Holzmeister. The parish church is also dedicated to heroes for the fallen soldiers in the First World War.

Pontifical High Mass in Vienna’s Karlskirche

(Vienna) On the Memorial of St. Charles Borromeo the  Bishop of Chur, Vitus Huonder, celebrated a Pontifical High Mass in the Saint Charles Church consecrated in Vienna on November 4th. The Mass was offered in the magnificent Baroque church  in the awe-inspiring sacred liturgy of the Immemorial Rite, in which the worship of the Triune God and the realization of the bloodless sacrifice of the Cross of Jesus Christ are commemorated.
This was organized by Una Voce Austria.  There   Mass for five voices was performed by Giovanni Rovetta. The chorale was sung according to the Gradual Medicaeum.  In 1713 during the great plague, the Viennese Emperor Charles VI., promised his patron saint, Saint Charles Borromeo,  who also undertook the pastoral care of plague victims as cardinal and brought them Holy Communion, to build a Church.
It was built according to plans by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach.  The church was consecrated in 1738.  It has been cared for ever since by the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, founded in Prague in 1233. From 1783 to 1918, the Emperor exercised itself the right of patronage.

Bishop of Chur Strikes Back: Taking Legal Action Against Institutional Old Liberals

Edit: last week, the Bishop sent his Vicar General to talk to 'Adebar' and they ignored him.  Now things are getting real.  This could create a model for dealing with institutional Liberal organizations promoting things hostile to Catholicism throughout the Church.  Bishop Huonder is a courageous pathfinder, despite being attacked and maligned by his own Diocesan paper and subordinates, he's not letting go.

Resistance!

Satan governs:  The association counsels pregnant mothers on the selection of child butchers -- and receives money for that from Church-tax.

(kreuz.net) Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur is taking legal measures against the so-called "Catholic National Church of Cantons" (Katholisches Landeskirche von Graubunden)

This was reported by his Diocesan website today.

Murderous Haste

The Canton "National Church" is a quasi-state institution, which is not administrated independently of the episcopal part of the Church-tax money.

It supports the dehumanizing pregnancy counseling association 'Adebar'.

In which a"National Church" member even occupies the board.

The blood of children flows

The association offers pregnant mothers a selection of child butchers.  It distributes the criminal 'after death pill' and the contraceptive coil.

For mothers under 16, they provide death passes which are required for a child to undergo an abortion in Switzerland.

In the the work of prevention and sexual education it contradicts the moral and ecclesiastical doctrine.

A legal review

For years the Bishop has unsuccessfully protested against the support of child murderers with money from Church-tax.  Now it will be handled publicly.

"That's where the Church has been brought into contact with an organization "Catholic National Church of the Cantons" against Her will, which works in contradiction of the Catholic Church in various regards, the Bishop of Chur has authorized his General Vicar with a concluding legal review"  -- it says in the statement.

There is a question if it will be allowed in Switzerland, that Church-tax bodies may support organizations contradicting its own established goals, which clearly contradict Church teaching.

The legal action related to this finding is being evaluated at this time.

Switzerland's Bishop Huonder of Chur Triumphs in Rome

Editor A sign of still more great things to come? After reports in the media, a lot of international support including a Support the Bishop of Chur petition which was circulated widely, the Roman Authorities have ruled in favor of this goodly shepherd fighting against the Church-tax structure of Switzland's Old Liberal Elite.

Like Hitler in His Bunker

The Roman journey of Bishop Vitus Huonder of Chur was a triumphal march.  by Maria Huppi.
Old Liberal Papers have fired heavy rounds at Msgr Hunder.

(kreuz.net)  Bishop Vitus Hunder's Rome trip in the past week was an explosive success.

Pope Benedict XVI and the involved Curial Prelates stood behind him and encouraged him to forge ahead.

The prayers of thousands of his friends have been heard:  The Bishop will stay.

His enemies did not succeed in leading the Vatican head down the garden path.

The Old Liberal Bishop haters are beside themselves with fury.

They must realize that they are now sitting like Adolf Hitler in his Bunker.

It didn't help them to threaten to leave the Church.

A bleeding of the heterodox Swiss Church-tax system means a strengthening of the Catholic church.

Without money the Old Liberal Church-tax profiteers quickly lose their alleged interest in the Church.

Today the situation is much better than in the 90s.   Then it was possible with the help of John Paul II to topple the Confessor Bishop Wolfgang Haas.

The monopoly on information back then was in the hands of the anti-Church Media.

Also many enemies of the Church back then have retired, died or have left the Church in the meantime.

Additionally the most recent Theologian Pamphlet has brought the Curia and the Pope against the Old Liberals.

From Vatican circles it is to be heard that one works behind the scenes, doing the handiwork of anti-Catholic powers in the Church.

The recently released reform Decree on Philosophy Study is to be seen in connection with this event.

A program is required for the academic year 2012/13 as it has always existed in traditional institutions.

Otherwise it is according to the implementation for the Summorum Pontificum that the Old Mass is required in all Catholic Seminaries for priestly formation.

Now we will learn who is Catholic and who is schismatic.

Joy to the Traditionalist struggle against the Old Liberals.

Liberals in Chur Switzerland are Screaming like the Possessed

The Archbishop of Chur, Switzerland is being attacked by his Deans. The tax church has been screaming for his dismissal. This looks like a contest of wills with the tax-administrators trying to run the traditional Bishop out of town. They don't like that he's going to be serious about having the Immemorial Mass of All Ages said. They don't like his attitude, but that's about all they can do, because there appears to be no move to get rid of him and no interest in Rome for replacing him either. Actually, when the Cardinal of Vienna does terrible things and his laity cry out to Rome, they don't do anything there either.

There's a petition you can sign, here. There are also two other stories on this blog, here and here.

All Deans are Against the Church Bishop

Swizterland: All fourteen Deans int the Diocese of Church have attacked Bishop Vitus Huonder in a press release yesterday. This is according to 'Radio Vatican'. The Deans have complained that the Bishop -- in sight of unrest in the Diocese -- has canceled the next Meeting of the Priest Council and of the Council of Lay Theologians. The Deacons insist that Msgr Huonder, revoke his order "as soon as possible" and hold these senseless Advisory Boards.

Small-minded Provincial Catholicism Celebrates its Resurrection

First the old liberal fat cats set an Anti-Catholic revolution loose. Then they complain that they have been lumped in with the revolution.

[kreuz.net, Chur] Bishop Vitus Huonder (68) of Chur has been canonically, practically driven out of half of his diocese by non-designated community consultants.

For the notorious church-hate journalist Michael Meier there is no reason to raise the hue and cry in the Zurich regional paper 'Tagesanzeiger'.

Behind the decision there is a yearlong battle between the Zurich State-Church, which controls the Church-Tax, and the Bishop of Chur.

The battle escalated, as the Church-Tax Board adopted an Anti-Catholic church measure.

There it reads: "No priest can be selected as pastor, the Church Community selects the Deacon, the assistant pastoral leader person with the function to direct the community for a term of three years."

The Bishop Strikes Back

Msgr Huonder has actually replaced these illegal regulations now through a new "Guidelines for Sacristies".

They dismiss -- in agreement with Church law -- lay theologians and community leaders.

Simultaneously the Bishop wants more Parishes bound to their sacristies according to the German Model by 2018.

This direction will supersede proposals by the Bishop and also of the community elected pastors.

Those assigned to the Sacristy as employees and princely rewarded lay theologians will be called in the new concept "Pastoral Assistants".

They will be exclusively named by the Bishop or his successor.

"The popular vote is not required" -- cried Meier.

The Strategy of the Fat Cats

Markus Arnold -- an earlier State-Church fat cat in Zurich -- may whine to the 'Tagesanzeiger' and threatens to take legal steps against the Bishop.

Actually, a Zuricher Judge of the Canton Government waves this aside: "Bishop Huonder does according to canon law probably what, what he wants, even if it goes against Church Order."

In reality the tinkering of the Church Order stands in contradiction to worldwide Church Law.

The Jurist propose that the Zurich State Church might select pastoral assistant persons as community leaders independently of the Bishop and in opposition to Church Law.

Speaker Makes Plain

Bishop Huonder's communication's director, Prelate Christoph Casetti, cited Meier's article in his statement for the 'Tagesanzeiger'.

The Bishop has not allowed for any right of election in his "Guideline for Sacristies": "That happens time and again after votes that developments carry on running" -- avowed the Prelate.

It will come sooner than later to Priest selection, because there is "not a large selection" any longer.

The Parishes would rather select a Pastor, because they must share with other communities.
